Beautiful fact

When the bronze statues of Pompeii were dug up, workmen’s shovels made them ring like bells.

In this fresco from Pompeii, the seated woman plays a kithara (a kind of lyre). Once thought to depict a music lesson, it may in fact portray a romantic tryst.
